The Shady Shack

One of our favourite places to spend a lazy morning in Canggu, The Shady Shack is a charming vegetarian café that sits in a quiet street overlooking the rice paddies. Perpetually busy but always worth the wait, The Shady Shack is known for gorgeous salad bowls that are almost too beautifully presented to eat, with hot options being the Japanese inspired Nori Bowl and the vibrant, nutrient-packed smoothie bowls. Grab a table outside under the mango tree, order yourself a matcha latte and make your way through a healthy menu so drool-worthy you won’t know where to start.

No trip to Echo Beach would be complete without a pit stop at Betelnut Café, one of the pioneering health eateries and hippie hangouts in Canggu. This rustic looking wooden shack is just across the road from Deus, and is heavily frequented by surfies, expats, families and the usual hipster crowds.
